Okay, if you know me, you know I love talking about poop. 🤭
Not to make it weird, but I love talking about taboo topics. The ones that most people shy away from, like bathroom habits, drinking habits, and mental health. The things that some of us don’t feel comfortable talking about to even those closest to us about.
I believe that when we open up on the taboo stuff, amazing things happen.
When we bring the everybody does it mentality, it makes us all feel less alone. Especially when it comes to such critical topics, like the gut-brain connection.
In this week’s video, I cover:
The gut-brain connection and how these two systems communicate
The gut microbiome and the importance of the probiotic balance
How Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs) might be the secret to a better brain and mood
Why fiber is equally (if not more) important as protein— and my secret to getting “cloud poops” ☁️ 💩
I also talk about the Bristol Stool Chart (featured below), a tool that can be used to help you understand if your poops are normal or if they could use some support.
Comment where you fall on the Bristol Stool Chart below. And let me know what questions you have, or what you want to learn more about when it comes to the Gut-Brain axis.
