Just this month, I celebrated FOUR years alcohol-free. But to be honest, I never thought I’d get here.
Until June of 2021, I was a heavy (sometimes, daily) drinker.
And in the first 6-months of my sobriety, I was “treating myself” to ice cream cones several times per week in the place of alcohol.
As someone who loved staying healthy, eating well, and taking supplements, my alcohol use didn't match my lifestyle.
I wasn’t proud of it. In fact, I often felt like I was living a double life.
I tried everything to manage my alcohol — “anti-alcohol” supplements, taking short breaks from drinking, Whole30 programs, and even went keto for a short time.
Ever since getting sober and working with others who want to change their relationship with alcohol, I’ve been hearing a similar story. And maybe you can relate to trying all of the best health trends, starting the day at the gym, healthy meals all day long, and then undoing it all with a bottle of wine at night.
It’s exhausting, isn’t it?
In the end, I found that living alcohol-free was the key that unlocked better mental health and physical health, and helped me achieve my goals with ease.
And while that might not be what works for you, there’s one thing that holds true for us all:
Alcohol is sabotaging our health, undoing our hard (and expensive) work on our wellness, and ultimately overlooking the very systems that make it feel impossible stop drinking.
So, I decided it was time to work smarter, not harder.
As a doctor of nutrition, I went to work on figuring out how to unlock the systems of the body that make us want to drink, that cause us to have low tolerance to stress, and create low mood, energy, and anxiety that start the cycle of drinking.
The solution: Functional Sobriety.
I created the Functional Sobriety approach, founded on nutrition and functional medicine, and designed to get to the root cause of why we drink.
Functional Sobriety addresses our stress levels, hormones, gut health, nutrient levels, and brain health, and then applies foods, supplements and other health practices to take away cravings for alcohol, recover our mood and energy, and allow us to sustain out alcohol-free goals with more ease.
And that’s why I am thrilled to share with you my brand new Functional Sobriety Academy, with our next live class cohort beginning on July 1st!

When I first decided to ditch alcohol, I felt like sh*t. I was craving tons of sugar. My energy was in the tubes. And frankly, I felt terrified and alone.
This is how many women feel when embarking on an alcohol-free or sober-curious journey.
But you don’t have to do this alone. There are tools to help you start feeling within just a few days. That includes food, nutrition, supplements, support, and my Functional Sobriety approach.
Here’s the thing: The way you’re feeling is a signal that something in your body is off. My goal is to help you identify what’s out of whack so that you can finally show up for the life you’ve dreamed of.
You’re not broken — your body just needs to heal. Let us show you how.
